Anniversary Card for a Friend

I created this card for a friend of my in-laws, they have been friends for a long time and my husband really cares for them. Once I met my husband they were super nice to me and took me in as if they had met me their entire lives, they are the most amazing people in the world and they are so great to our children. Even my oldest daughter who, technically has no relation with them or my husband. For this layout I used my cricut expression and the Mini Monograms cartridge to cut the squares and the scalloped squares behind them, I matted the saying with with and with blue cardstock and I pop dotted the center, for a more elegant look I decided to add some pearl swirls I had in my stash…literally I have no idea where or when I got them but I'm sure my husband was happy I got to use them regardless. Im happy because I can have an excuse to buy more, not that I really need an excuse…hehehe
The card was a 5x7 pre-made card that I bought at Michaels and the layers are cut ¼ inch smaller to give a nice dimension, I love how the blue cardstock has some shimmer to it. It's a Bazzil paper and is just beautiful. The picture is horrible and you can't really see the details of this card, but I have to say I really like it and I think by far is one of my best.
This layout was so quick and easy using just my Prima Flowers I already had. I cut my photos with my cricut using the mini monograms and the rectacgle photo was a little bit smaller then a 4x6. I used the MS punch and glitter latters form Making Memories

Splish & Splash

132
This is my daughter Violet, last summer playing with her sister at the slip and slide. I had this pictures for a while printed, I knew I wanted to make a scrapbook page, but i really was not too sure what kind of layout I wanted to make. This is a 12x12 page and since i have about 3 more pictures I would love to use I might make a second page to this layout. I used my brand new cricut expression that my wonderful husband got me this past month. I have been in school 5 days a week and also work so I really haven’s have time to play with it. I used Mini monograms cartridge for the main background scallop. I used the fit to page button, but i decided I wanted the scallop to one side and so once I adhered take I just trimmed the excess on the side. The pictures a 51/2 by 4. I also us EDPD cartridge, I love making little people, I make sure I matched (to my best of my abilities) the bathing suit colors my daughter is wearing, the dolls were cut at 4 with all their layers and for one of the girls I just wanted to give her a tiny Prima flower as an accessory. The letters are from Making Memories and they are from the wedding collection, the clouds are from my Creative Critter cricut cartridge and last but not list the journaling spot is from A child’s year. I added two eyelets as I was going to used ribbon, but I did not have the color I wanted to, so I just pop-dotted it on the page.
